This was a gift for my father-in-law who loves to enjoy butter with bread or crackers. It was somewhat of a joke gift, but he loved it. I am told that he guarded his "fancy" butter from regular use and insisted it was only for special enjoyment.We are told that he especially loved the Danish Lurpak. He said it was smooth and creamy and paired well with his favorite crackers.He had never had goat butter before, so he was pleasantly surprised by the St. Helen's Goat Butter, but said it was not good on crackers - only on bread.He found the Beurre Barratte de Celles sur Belle to be a little stiff, and it was probably his least favorite butter.The Vermont sea salt butter, he says, tasted just like the Organic Valley Pasture Butter you can buy in the store.
