I purchased the two pack ComboKooler set to take to the lake. I filled the large bag with ice and set all my cold drinks, lunch meats, potato salad, chopped foods in containers, and left for the lake which is a two hour drive. When we arrived, we set up and I took out the bag to get some food out for lunch. The ice was still all there, the food was cold and what is even better was that hours later, the bag still had ice and the food was still just as cold as when we left early in the morning. These bags have a removable liner that you just wipe off with a damp cloth or sponge.Since my trip to the lake, I started taking the bag to the grocery store with me. I also purchased this company's KoolerGel. I use ice sometimes with the bottles, but most times I just use the frozen liter bottles by themselves. When you use the KoolerGel with the ice, the ice lasts longer. When used alone, I place about three bottles in the large bag. The KoolerGel is a powder when mixed with water, turns into a gel. You place the powder in any size bottle, add water and freeze. I use a two liter pop bottle. I keep the bottles in my freezer at all times when I am not using them. They can be used over and over again. I take the bag into the store and place in my shopping cart and place my cold items in the bag as I shop. Then the checker just takes the items out and the sacker puts the items back in. I live in Oklahoma and it was 100 degrees yesterday. It can get up to 111 degrees in the summer. So I decided this summer to use this bag on all of my grocery trips. The bag sits in the front seat of my truck and when I get home I carry it in and unload from the bag. I can get what would normally be three large paper sacks of groceries in the large bag. My food is still cold, my ice cream isn't melted all over the place, my lunch meat, lettuce, milk, and cheese is still as cold as when I originally put them in the bag at the grocery store. This is a must have product for camping and going to the grocery store or any of the large warehouse stores. We have Sam's in Oklahoma which is like Costco in other states. My cold food items always arrive home in excellent cold condition. I also use the bag for church pot lucks. These bags work with hot and cold. They keep hot items hot and cold items cold. My casserole was the only dish still hot after being placed in the small ComboKooler bag. These bags have a zipper that zips closed with the items inside and then an outer flap Velcro's over the zippered part. Do yourself a favor and buy a set of these bags and buy the KoolerGel. They are the neatest products that really, really work. You can take them anywhere and use them for just about anything.
